The steady striving for acceleration of the production processes should therefore already start before the machine running time with selection of the proper Cam software. New pc generations possess 12 CPU-cores and 24 calculation threads. For exploiting the power of 24 calculation threads it is required, that the software used supports the multi-core technology and can split the calculation task into several calculation threads. The multicore technology can be exploited most effective by the way the Cam-software already on the algorithm level makes the division of the calculation task into several cores, or the calculation threads. In this way tremendous speed increases can already be obtained at individual calculation tasks.
The multicore-calculation on the algorithm level is supported by Condacam 3.1 in all computationally intensive modules and has been tested and optimised on a system with 32 cores.
Already at the data import the power of the multicore computation is exploited. Moreover in the 3D calculation strategies as well as in the CNC simulation the multicore calculation is applied to the algorithm level.
